Navigating AI as a Business Owner

You’re Not Afraid of AI. You’re Afraid of What It Means.

Every business owner I work with knows AI is happening. That’s not the question.

The questions are:

  • How do I navigate this without losing what makes my business valuable?
  • How do I lead my team through a transition I don’t fully understand myself?
  • How do I separate real opportunity from hype?
  • How do I evolve without betting the business on technology I can’t control?

These aren’t technical questions. They’re leadership questions. Personal questions. Sometimes identity questions.

This is where I can help.

I’ve Already Crossed This Bridge

Over the last two years, I’ve built 20+ AI-powered tools for my own practice and client work. Not to sell them. Not to become an AI consultant. But to prove to myself that I could navigate this transition and find a way of thinking and working that’s actually useful.

I’m a 60-year-old business owner who fully adopted living in an AI-augmented world. Not because I’m technical (I’m not). But because I was willing to sit with the discomfort and figure it out.

What I learned:

  • The transition is more psychological than technical
  • Most of the fear is about loss of control and relevance
  • The opportunity isn’t in the tools - it’s in how you think about your business differently
  • You don’t have to become an AI expert to lead through this
  • The businesses that thrive will be led by owners who evolve, not just implement

I’m proof that you can navigate this without losing yourself.

What This Isn’t

I’m not an AI consultant. I don’t implement AI systems for you. I don’t run workshops teaching your team to use ChatGPT. I don’t sell AI strategy frameworks or implementation roadmaps.

If you need technical implementation, there are people far better qualified than me.

What This Is

I help business owners navigate the leadership and psychological transition that AI represents.

We work on questions like:

  • How do I think about AI in my business without getting overwhelmed by hype or fear?
  • What does it mean to lead a team through change I don’t fully control?
  • How do I evaluate opportunities without betting the business on things I don’t understand?
  • What role do I play as owner when AI can do things I used to do?
  • How do I evolve my business model without losing what makes it valuable?
  • What if my competitive advantage becomes obsolete - who am I then?

These questions live at the intersection of business strategy and personal identity. Most AI consultants don’t touch them. Most coaches don’t understand the technology enough to engage them meaningfully.

I work both sides because I’ve lived it.

How We Work Together

For existing coaching clients:
If you’re already working with me and facing AI-related questions - whether strategic decisions, team leadership, competitive pressure, or personal fear about relevance - we integrate it into our coaching work.

For standalone AI navigation:
If you’re not a coaching client but need guidance navigating the AI transition as a business owner, I offer focused short-term engagements specifically for this work.

Structure:

  • 2-hour initial session where we map your current AI landscape, clarify your questions, and identify where you’re actually stuck
  • 6 scheduled sessions over a 3-month period focused on navigating your specific AI-related challenges
  • Work happens at both levels: business strategy (opportunities, decisions, implementation questions) and personal/leadership (fear, identity, evolution)

Investment: $5,000 (paid in advance)

What You’ll Work Through

I help you see what you can’t see. Often that’s: you’re more capable of navigating this than you think. Your fear is about identity, not technology. The opportunity is different than what you’re looking at.

I bring pattern recognition. I’ve watched business owners navigate technology transitions for 25 years. AI is bigger than previous shifts, but the psychology is similar. I can help you see the patterns.

I share what I’ve learned. Not as “here’s how to do AI” but as “here’s what I discovered navigating this myself.” The tools I built. The mistakes I made. The breakthroughs that changed how I think about my business.

I ask the questions that matter. Not “which AI tool should I use?” But “what are you actually afraid of?” and “what opportunity are you avoiding because it requires you to evolve?”

Who This Helps

This work resonates with business owners who:

  • Feel pressure to “do something about AI” but aren’t sure what that actually means
  • Are afraid of falling behind but also afraid of making expensive mistakes
  • Want to navigate this thoughtfully, not reactively
  • Recognize this is as much about personal evolution as business strategy
  • Need a thinking partner who’s already crossed the bridge, not a consultant selling solutions

This isn’t helpful if:

  • You want technical AI implementation (that’s not what I do)
  • You’re looking for “AI strategy frameworks” or training programs
  • You need someone to run your AI projects
  • You want the answer more than you want to think through the question

My Belief

The AI transition is happening whether we’re ready or not. But you get to choose how you navigate it.

You can rush into implementation because everyone else is. You can freeze because you don’t understand it. Or you can move thoughtfully - building understanding, evolving your thinking, making decisions that align with your values and your business reality.

I help business owners choose the third path.

Not because I’m an AI expert. But because I’m a business owner who’s navigated this transition myself and can walk alongside you while you navigate yours.
